Reflecting: Sustainable Tech Transformation webinar

On May 23, we hosted an inspiring "Sustainable Tech Transformation" webinar in collaboration with Latinas in Tech—Madrid. This event was about our collective effort to drive sustainable change in the tech industry to generate awareness and create consciousness of our representation as Latinas in tech and the unique opportunity we have to influence and shape the industry by advocating for sustainable tech products and services that are inclusive from inception.

Kelly from Latinas in Tech welcomed the attendees with a heartfelt welcome, setting the stage for an evening of learning, sharing, and building connections. The energy and passion of our attendees were palpable, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere from the start.

Elaisa from Impact Driven Academy took us on a journey through the critical intersection of sustainability and technology. Her presentation highlighted three essential takeaways:

  1. Understanding the Triple Planetary Crisis: Elaisa explained how climate change, loss of nature, and pollution are interconnected and how technology can exacerbate or mitigate these crises.

Our breakout rooms buzzed with lively discussions. Attendees shared their experiences, challenges, and solutions related to sustainable tech practices. It showcased the power of community, highlighting that we can innovate and implement sustainable solutions more effectively.
